McLean & Brown was started in 1996 by Nancy McLean Brown as a small advertising & marketing consultant company, based in Washington, D.C. With the emergence of the internet into most companies' marketing mix, website production quickly became an additional service, with kids websites' consulting becoming the McLean & Brown specialty.

The most notable holdover from McLean & Brown's early days is a website we still produce for kids of all ages, called The Cat Co.

Then in early 1999, McLean & Brown expanded again, this time into telecommunications public policy, made possible with the valuable addition of Glenn H. Brown as partner. Click here to learn more about Glenn, his history, and his many accomplishments.
